The Flin Flon Bombers will be without the services of defenceman Bryce Eviston, following his acquisition from the Dieppe Commandos Oct. 5. Bombers head coach/general manager Mike Reagan confirmed the 19-year-old blueliner is headed south of the 49th parallel to continue his hockey career.
The Flin Flon Bombers have traded forward Justin Rasmussen to the Dieppe Commandos of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League (MJAHL) in exchange for right winger Garrett Forster, defenceman Bryce Eviston and future considerations.
Once again, there were five games on the SJHL slate Saturday night, with Estevan and Melville being the only squads having the night off. The Notre Dame Hounds and Humboldt Broncos were the final two teams to open their season.
It was a summer of change in the border town of Flin Flon as the SJHL’s Bombers added a number of new faces, particularly behind the bench, ahead of tonight’s season-opening game with the Melfort Mustangs.
