The Kindersley Klippers have traded goaltender Alex Bitsakis to the Elliott Lake Bobcats of the NOJHL in exchange for future considerations.
Bitsakis was stuck in a tough situation with returning starter Tyrell King (2-0-0, 1.50 GAA, .957 SP) playing lights out in the Klippers two victories over Battlefords this past weekend. Friday morning, Klippers head coach/general manager Rockie Zinger shipped Bitsakis off to Elliott Lake.
The 19-year-old goaltender from the Montreal area came to Kindersley after spending the past two seasons with Hebron Academy.
The Bobcats have two other goaltenders listed on their roster — Etienne Roy (3-3-0, 3.44 GAA, .905 SP) and Shaun Gerbinski (0-1-0, 3.32 GAA, .889 SP)
